URI ZHANG
Yueying “Uri” Zhang is an actor from Shanghai, China, currently based in the United States. Her first step into the performing arts began with singing on stage as a child, and the theatre quickly became a place of belonging.
Growing up between different cultures and later training and working in both the United States and China has shaped her perspective as an artist. Her work is often drawn to stories about identity, family, displacement, and human relationships. She is interested in characters who carry strength, vulnerability, contradictions, and humor.
Uri believes that art ultimately serves humanity. To her, performance is a way to understand people, reflect life, and give something back to the world. She hopes her work can create moments where audiences feel seen, understood, and connected.
Her work spans theatre, film, television, and musical theatre, with additional experience in commercial and print modeling. She performs in both Mandarin and English, working in the U.S. and internationally.
